Workshops

Each workshop is the equivalent of one individual class ticket, or two individual class tickets if a double session. Weekend pass holders can select these as part of their activity selection.

Workshops give attendees the opportunity to learn and make under the guidance of enthusiastic and expert teachers. Within an interactive environment attendees will come away with a finished item and the satisfaction of completing a handmade project!

Most workshops (excluding the full day or two day workshops) occur twice in the programme to help avoid you missing out on your preferred class selection.

Full Day Workshops – design and create silver treasures

The equivalent of 4 x individual class tickets or 4 x classes out of a Weekend Pass plus material costs

Ingrid Schloemer, Jewellery Designer, will be teaching two exciting full day workshops during HANDMADE 2011.

Each workshop is different, although they will cover some of the same material.

Numbers are very limited.

Weekend pass holders can select this workshop in their class selection.

Full Day Workshop – advanced quilt workshop

The equivalent of 4 x individual class tickets or 4 x classes out of a Weekend Pass plus materials

Kathy Doughty renowned Australian based quilter and owner of retail shop Material Obsession will teach advanced quilting techniques to expereinced quilters. This workshop only occurs once in the programme.

Numbers are very limited.

Weekend pass holders can select this workshop in their class selection.

Two Day Workshop – A Quilt in Two Days: A Lap Quilt for Beginners

The equivalent of a Weekend Pass plus material costs. Weekend Pass holders can select this as their activity selection.

Jill Bowman will be teaching a comprehensive two day workshop alongside the HANDMADE programme.

The time it takes to make the small quilt from start to finish means that this workshop will be continuous over two days.

Numbers are very limited.

Workshop Materials

Materials required for individual workshops are not included in the class fee. Please bring your own materials guided by the "materials list" for each workshop. Alternatively, if materials or kits are required/available for purchase at the workshop this is stated in the materials list. Click here for the materials lists.

Masterclasses

The equivalent of one individual class ticket. Weekend pass holders can select these as part of their activity selection.

Masterclasses are entertaining and informative presentations and demonstrations from highly regarded experts. In nearly all cases they are not hands on classes.

Each Masterclass occurs once in the programme and they are a unique opportunity to watch and learn from HANDMADE ambassadors.
